1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to StudyWorkspace. By accessing, downloading, or using the StudyWorkspace application on Android devices, Microsoft Windows desktop, or through our web services at studyworkspace.online, you enter into a legally binding agreement to comply with these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all terms stated herein, you must immediately discontinue use of the service.

2. Description of Service

StudyWorkspace provides an integrated academic study platform designed for high school, college, and university students. Key capabilities include study paper generation, practice self-assessment, lecture audio transcription, visual slide synthesis, and AI study tutoring. These services synchronize across Android mobile and Microsoft Windows desktop platforms.

3. User Accounts and Authentication

User accounts and authentication are managed through Google Firebase Authentication. You agree to maintain accurate account details and safeguard your login credentials. You are solely responsible for all activities occurring under your registered account and agree to notify StudyWorkspace immediately of any unauthorized access.

4. Student Content Ownership and Academic Integrity

You retain 100% intellectual property ownership over all notes, questions, papers, audio recordings, and visual slide decks you create or upload to StudyWorkspace.

5. Audio Recording Consent and Legal Compliance

Before recording or uploading lecture audio to StudyWorkspace, you represent and warrant that you hold all necessary legal rights, permissions, and consents from the speaker, professor, or institution.

You agree not to upload recordings that violate wiretapping statutes, two-party consent laws, institutional classroom recording restrictions, or third-party non-disclosure obligations.

6. Artificial Intelligence and Academic Disclaimer

CRITICAL ACADEMIC NOTICE: Artificial intelligence features, including speech-to-text transcription via Whisper and automated practice questions or tutoring, are assistive study aids powered by probabilistic neural models. They are provided strictly on an "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" basis.

7. Cross-Platform Synchronization and Availability

StudyWorkspace synchronizes your workspace between the Android application and the Microsoft Windows desktop client via Google Cloud Firebase infrastructure. While we endeavor to maintain high service reliability, services may experience transient maintenance windows or network interruptions. StudyWorkspace is not liable for temporary synchronization delays.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StudyWorkspace and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the platform or any AI-generated study material.

9. Modifications and Account Termination

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Continued use of StudyWorkspace following updates constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms. You may terminate your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that breach these Terms or engage in abusive activity.
